Job description
We are now looking for an IT Manager who believes that security should enable innovation, not restrict it, and who understands how to balance regulatory compliance with a pragmatic, service-focused mindset.
This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for shaping and operating Square Health's internal IT environment while supporting a fast-growing, regulated digital health organisation., As IT Manager, you will be accountable for the design, security, availability and continuous improvement of Square Health's Group's corporate IT environment, including:
- Windows-based end-user computing and device management
- Microsoft Azure infrastructure and identity services
- Microsoft 365 and collaboration platforms
- Network security across our Windsor and Newcastle offices using physical firewalls and secure connectivity
- Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001 alignment and assurance
You will work closely with IT Support engineers and leadership teams, acting as a trusted partner rather than a gatekeeper helping teams achieve their objectives in a secure, compliant and efficient way.
Your success will be measured not just by audit outcomes, but by how effectively IT enables the business to operate, scale and innovate., What you will be responsible for
- Owning Square Health's internal IT operations and service delivery
- Ensuring continued compliance with Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001 controls
- Managing Azure, O365, identity, endpoint and network security
- Driving improvements in automation, resilience and user experience
- Acting as the primary IT point of contact for audits and assurance activities
- Leading incident response and root-cause improvement initiatives
- Manage internal IT staff and/or external IT service providers
- Act as the main point of contact for IT support related issues across the business
- Set priorities, manage workloads, and provide technical guidance and support
- Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and software providers
- Develop and implement IT strategy aligned with business goals
- Lead IT projects such as system implementations, migrations, or process improvements
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, You are an IT Manager who treats security and compliance as a design challenge, not a box-ticking exercise. You understand that in a regulated environment, trust is built through strong controls but also through collaboration and common sense.
You will bring
- Strong experience managing Windows enterprise environments and Microsoft 365
- Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure (identity, networking, security, governance)
- Practical experience operating within ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus frameworks
- Strong understanding of endpoint security, identity management, access control and audit readiness
- Experience managing physical firewall infrastructure and secure office networks
- A service-led mindset you see internal teams as your customers
Most importantly, you are
- A strong communicator who can explain security risks in business language
- A problem-solver who looks for secure ways to enable, not reasons to block
- Comfortable negotiating solutions between compliance, usability and delivery
- Proactive in identifying risks, root causes and long-term improvements
- Calm, pragmatic and trusted during incidents or audit activity
Automation and scripting experience (PowerShell, Azure automation, Intune, etc.) is highly beneficial, as is exposure to CI/CD or development environments but your ability to collaborate and lead is more important than any single tool.
Formal qualifications are not essential. We value judgement, experience, and mindset above certificates., * IT Management : 3 years (required)
