Job description
Millennium Hotels and Resorts is looking for a Director of IT UK/EU to lead and operate the IT discipline for properties and managed offices within our UK/ Europe hotels and work closely with the various corporate divisions, other regional heads and hotel teams to build strategic partnerships with the appropriate vendors while leveraging conglomerate-wide potentials.
Provides resource and consulting support within relevant business application projects, strategies and adaptation of relevant and applicable technology infrastructure projects within the region.

Director of IT key responsibility

Accountable for digital transformation and innovation initiatives, aligned with the group vision focusing on building effective, efficient and relevant solutions that provide the group with a business advantage over its competitors.

Accountable for technology pilots that occur within the region. Stand as project management and discipline lead for various IT projects and initiatives, implement life-cycle methodologies for various I.T. systems. Document technology pilot scope and objectives with business partners. Set measurable goals and timeline, lead initial phase assessment, deliver pilot phase early review/completion/ recommendation report and relevant documentation.

Accountable for new opening projects oversight, countdown and live operation. Periodic site inspections will be required to new build Hotels during construction phase. Provide site progress reports and Standard Defect Report. Key areas of focus for reports to include; MDF, IDF, public areas, guestrooms, back of house.

Accountable for the management of IT budget. Manage IT agreements for participating properties. Technology partner management and product development for IT-related areas.

Engages with, and primary escalation point for property GM, DOF and other department heads. Ensure resources are assigned to IT escalation processes and that tracking processes are effective and meet the service level agreements (SLA).

Develop, deploy and maintain IT Security strategy, policies, programs and procedures across all participating properties. Managing the daily IT Security operations within the region, mitigating the risks identified, and ensuring compliance with the Group's IT Security Policies as well as audit and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Hospitality?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology or the equivalent with 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Able to demonstrate a good leadership skill, strategic planning, analytical and forward thinking of the technology as well as business operations.
- Must have a dynamic, outgoing personality, be a good team player who demonstrates a pleasant and cheerful appearance, and possess good interpersonal skill to understand user requirements
- Hands-on experience of hospitality industry related systems, analytical skill, and keen attention to details would be an added advantage.
