Job description
This is a workshop-based role focused on preparing laptops and IT hardware for customer deployment. You'll play a key part in ensuring devices are securely wiped, accurately configured, and professionally prepared to a high standard before they leave our facility.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, process-driven technical work and takes pride in getting things right first time.
Responsibilities
- Securely wiping laptops and IT equipment in line with company and customer standards
- Imaging and software deployment
- Device labelling, asset tagging and documentation
- Quality checking completed builds
- Preparing equipment for dispatch
- Supporting stock control and inventory processes
- Following documented technical procedures
Requirements
Do you have experience in Computer hardware?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Basic understanding of IT hardware (laptops, desktops, components)
- Previous experience in IT repair, refurbishing, deployment, or workshop-based roles would be advantageous.
- Experience installing Windows and configuring devices (desirable but not essential)
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to follow technical processes and checklists
- Organised and reliable
- Positive, team-focused attitude
- Comfortable working in a workshop environment, * Are you within a commuteable distance to EN6 3JN (less than 40 mins either by public transport or vehicle)?
Education:
- A-Level or equivalent (required)
Experience:
- Computer hardware: 1 year (preferred)
