Job description
We are seeking a hands-on IT Systems Administrator to take ownership of IT across a growing technical distribution business operating in the UK and Germany. This is a high-responsibility, non-management role where you will be the sole internal IT specialist, working closely with third-party providers while supporting office, warehouse and production teams.
This opportunity would suit someone from a larger organisation who wants to make a visible impact in an SME environment, bringing structure, responsiveness and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Manage user accounts, access control, hardware and software licences

Administer core systems (ERP, CRM, telephony, labelling, Microsoft environment)

Act as primary contact for external IT providers, ensuring performance and value

Plan and deliver small-to-medium IT changes and system upgrades

Support cyber security initiatives, training and compliance readiness

Provide responsive, practical support across sites and remote users

Manage IT assets, budgets and lifecycle planning
Requirements

Broad IT systems knowledge and strong troubleshooting skills

Experience delivering IT change in SME (or multi-site) environments

Experience working with third-party IT providers

Understanding of cyber security principles

Proactive, commercially aware and able to work independently
