Job description
Reporting to our Senior 2nd Line IT Support Technician and based at our head office in Oxford, Woodstock, you will play a key role in providing support to a diverse group of approx. 1350 users, responding to incidents and requests in line with company SLA's. You'll be part of a team that is the first point of contact for all IT queries submitted via telephone, self-service portal and walk-ups. You'll deal with a variety of hardware, software, telephony and mobile device issues, and will have the opportunity to gain insight into infrastructure-based technology, making the move into a more technical environment as part of your personal development and growth in Ridge.
Requirements
First and foremost, you'll need to be interested in IT. You'll be self-motivated, conscientious, methodical and organised, with the ability to liaise with customers at all levels of a business whilst always demonstrating excellent customer service. You'll possess a logical approach to problem solving and be able to multitask.
Essential skills:
- Basic troubleshooting experience of hardware, software, printers, and network connectivity issues
- Knowledge of working with and supporting Microsoft Windows 10/11, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- User account management using tools like Active Directory
- Device setup and configuration, including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow documented procedures.
