Job description

We are collaborating closely with a Belgian insurance company that is currently seeking an IT Manager. The role will oversee the application landscape and data warehouse systems, requiring strong team leadership and cross-departmental collaboration., Lead and develop an international IT team; oversee daily operations, ensuring timely delivery of enhancements, changes, and maintenance activities.

  • Project & Portfolio Management

Plan and prioritize projects and resources; align with business stakeholders to define scope and deliver solutions on time and within budget. Drive automation and cost-optimization initiatives.

  • Technical Oversight

Provide technical leadership for contract management and data warehouse solutions; ensure system integration, stability, security, performance, and compliance (including SAS environments).

  • Business & Vendor Management

Act as key liaison between IT and business units; manage external vendors, roadmaps, budgets, and SLAs.

  • Risk, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

Mitigate operational and data risks; ensure regulatory compliance; promote best practices and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in IT, including 2+ in leadership roles.
  • Data management, data warehousing, BI tools; insurance/contract management a plus.
  • Proven track record in change management and software delivery.

Technical Skills:

  • Software development best practices, ETL, statistical analysis, predictive modeling.
  • Familiarity with SAP, SAS, and project management methodologies.

Soft Skills:

  • Team leadership and motivation, problem-solving, strong communication.
  • Fluent English and Dutch; French a plus.
