Job description

As IT Manager, you will take responsibility for the organisation's core IT services, ensuring secure, stable, and high-performing systems. You'll provide expert technical guidance, lead small-scale projects, manage third-party suppliers, and drive continuous improvement across infrastructure, cloud services, and user support., * Oversee and maintain the organisation's IT infrastructure, including Servers, networks, storage, and cloud services.

  • Lead the administration and optimisation of Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, Intune, Defender security tools, and related platforms.
  • Manage IT operations, including incident resolution, escalations, and service delivery.
  • Ensure strong cyber security practices, including patching, identity management, and compliance with security standards.
  • Lead small to medium technical projects from planning to delivery.
  • Maintain IT policies, documentation, asset registers, and configuration standards.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain a reliable, secure, and scalable environment.
  • Contribute to IT strategy and continual improvement initiatives.

Requirements

We are looking for a hands-on IT Manager to lead the day-to-day operation, development, and reliability of my clients blue chip IT environment. This role is ideal for an experienced technical professional who thrives in a fast-paced, professional setting and enjoys working directly with modern Microsoft technologies., * Strong hands-on experience in a technical IT role within a professional environment.

  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, Intune, Defender, and Windows Server technologies.
  • Solid understanding of networking, security fundamentals, and modern device management.
  • Experience managing projects and coordinating external suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical outcomes.

Desirable

  • Experience implementing cyber security frameworks (eg, Cyber Essentials).
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices.
  • Exposure to compliance or governance requirements.
  • Relevant Microsoft or security certifications.
