Job description
We're looking for an IT Support Assistant to join our friendly and growing IT team at our head office in Wadhurst, East Sussex.
This is a hands-on, hybrid role (3 days in the office, 2 days from home) that offers the perfect balance of collaboration, flexibility, and learning. You will provide first-line technical support across our UK and global offices, ensuring the smooth running of systems and helping colleagues stay connected and productive.
What You Will Be Doing
As our IT Support Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for technical queries - supporting hardware, software, and systems across the business. Day to day, you will:
- Provide first-line IT support to office and remote users (Windows, Microsoft 365, Azure, hardware, and printers).
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently, escalating complex cases where necessary.
- Assist with onboarding new employees and setting up IT equipment and access.
- Maintain and support telephone and communications systems.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and hardware records.
- Support the company's proprietary software and CRM system.
- Monitor backups and assist with routine maintenance checks.
- Deliver excellent customer service to internal users, ensuring prompt and friendly assistance.
- Collaborate with the Assistant IT Manager to maintain secure, efficient, and up-to-date systems.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical support?, We are seeking someone with a proactive mindset, good problem-solving skills, and a desire to grow within IT. The ideal candidate will have, * 1+ years' experience in a similar IT support role
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, and Office applications
- Experience supporting Windows-based hardware and software
- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setup
Desirable (training can be provided):
- Experience with SharePoint / OneDrive
- PowerShell scripting or automation skills
- Hyper-V, backups & recovery tools
- IP or PBX phone systems
- Power BI and data visualisation
- MDM management (e.g., Maas360), * Technical support: 1 year (preferred)

Important Information
This position is based in Wadhurst, East Sussex. Applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance or be willing to relocate prior to starting.
The right to work in the UK is required; unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Hybrid working: 3 days in-office (Monday and Wednesday mandatory), 2 days from home.

Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
