Job description

We are looking for someone who loves keeping things organised, thrives on the need to make sure their work is accurate and has an enquiring mind with the aptitude to learn about new processes and complex technologies. We will give you plenty of training to learn the specific tasks that we require you to take responsibility for, but you will need to come with curiosity, the ability to absorb technical information about the work we that we do and the initiative to apply to your role with confidence.

If you do not have any background in our sector, that is fine - but you will need to be interested in learning basic electrical and thermal terminology as well as how to read simple wiring diagrams and equipment specifications. You would be working from our Holton Heath offices, making a key contribution to our combined team effort within a friendly and supportive culture.

Principal Duties:

  1. Collation and filing of digital copies of information required for customer installations.

  2. Compilation of customer certification packs, registration of warranties and other statutory paperwork submissions after equipment installations.

  3. Make applications to the local electrical Distribution Network Operator (DNO) using standard forms and information provided by H2-eco designers. This is for photovoltaic systems, heat pumps, electric vehicle chargers and battery storage systems.

  4. Track the progress of DNO applications and notifications, chase for responses and report the status, progress and outcomes to clients and H2-eco managers as required.

  5. Notify DNO and Building Control about installations when they are complete - using standard forms and processes.

  6. Make applications for Government grants and subsidies on behalf of clients, tracking responses and submitting grant redemptions post-installation.

  7. Upload copies of installation images and certificates in tightly prescribed formats to external partner recording systems

  8. Answer incoming customer phone calls, redirect to the appropriate member of staff, record and pass on details or deal with the enquiry to the extent of your knowledge.

Requirements

Do you have experience in SharePoint?, Please note, we will only be considering applicants who have supported their application with a brief covering letter identifying why they are currently looking for a new role and summarising why they feel they are a good fit for this position.

  • Ability to organise your own workflow and to develop your own clear systems for recording and communicating progress of the task that you are responsible for to the wider team.

  • Extraordinary attention to detail and passionate about being organised.

  • A high level of computer-user competence. Confidence with file management via Sharepoint, Word, Powerpoint, email and internet use.

  • An intuitive and confident approach to learning bespoke software and on-line interfaces.

  • The capability to learn and retain a lot of new information about our business and renewable technologies and then to apply it to completing the role tasks.

  • Self-awareness to ask for help and advice when you don't know the answer with the initiative to adapt what you have already learnt to new situations.

  • Clear and accurate written communication skills.

  • An interest in the climate emergency situation and carbon reduction technology.
