Job description
This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for overseeing telecom network operations, field delivery teams, service performance, and infrastructure maintenance. The role is suited to professionals with strong experience in managing telecom operations within regulated UK environments, including fibre (FTTP/FTTH), fixed networks, and service delivery functions., * Lead day-to-day telecom operational functions including network operations, field services, and infrastructure maintenance.
- Oversee performance of FTTP/FTTH network operations and service delivery teams.
- Manage operational KPIs, SLAs, and service quality targets.
- Ensure compliance with UK telecom regulations including CDM Regulations 2015, NRSWA, and Health & Safety standards.
- Drive operational efficiency, resource planning, and cost control.
- Oversee subcontractors and field teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies across operational workflows.
- Liaise with senior leadership, local authorities, and infrastructure partners.
- Manage escalations, service incidents, and operational risk mitigation.
- Support large-scale fibre rollout and broadband expansion programmes across Scotland.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Telecommunication?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- 5+ years' UK telecom operations management experience (network operations, service delivery, infrastructure or field operations).
- Strong knowledge of FTTP/FTTH and fixed network infrastructure.
- PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent certification.
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification with solid understanding of CDM Regulations and NRSWA compliance.
- Experience working with UK network operators, Altnets or principal contractors, including knowledge of Openreach PIA and broadband expansion programmes (e.g., R100).
- Proven ability to manage KPIs, SLAs, budgets and field teams.
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel across Scotland., * Do you hold a valid IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety qualification?
- Are you familiar with Openreach PIA processes and UK broadband expansion programmes (e.g., R100)?
