Manager, Technical Lead - Networking, Oracle Cloud Engineering, Technology & Transformation

As Manager in our Oracle Cloud Engineering group, you will play a pivotal role in the design, architecture, and delivery of complex Oracle Cloud solutions for our diverse client base. You will be responsible for driving technical excellence, managing workstreams, fostering client relationships, and contributing to the growth of our Oracle Cloud practice. This role requires a deep technical understanding of the combination of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS & PaaS) and Oracle Applications Cloud (SaaS), combined with technical ownership and client-facing capabilities.

This Technical Lead role will further the Oracle Cloud networking expertise in our Oracle practice, you will have the opportunity to:

• Solution Architecture: Own the design and architecture to define integrated cloud network solutions to large-scale Oracle Cloud implementations, migrations, and transformations.
• Implementation & Engineering: Lead the detailed design and infrastructure as code engineering of Oracle Cloud network services that are provisioned and configured to implement, connect, control, monitor, data flows.
• Technical Expertise: Provide deep technical guidance and hands-on support across various Oracle Cloud services, including network segmentation, virtual cloud networks, virtual private networks, allow listing, network security groups, zero trust networking, web application firewall, network firewall, load balancer, domain name services.
• Team Leadership & Development: Coach and advise cloud applications led enterprise transformation. Mentor & develop junior consultants and engineers, fostering technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
• Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with client stakeholders, acting as the trusted advisor overseeing the application of network controls through design, implementation, operate lifecycles.
• Project Delivery: Integrate network design and delivery into Oracle Cloud projects, aligning with technical teams, timelines and contribute to the completeness and quality of deliverables.
• Business Development: Support business development activities, including contributing to proposals, presenting solutions to prospective clients, and estimating effort. Provide inputs and guidance for asset development, strategic investments.
• Innovation: Maintain awareness of cloud vendor developments, trends, and emerging technologies, contributing to Deloitte's intellectual capital, challenging status quo approaches for continuous development of innovative solutions.
• Quality Assurance & Risk Management: Ensure the technical quality of solutions, adherence to architectural standards, and proactive identification and mitigation of technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Do you have experience in Software deployment?, * Extensive cloud networking experience in IT consulting or a similar role, focused specifically on Oracle Cloud technologies, including cloud infrastructure and cloud applications.

• Architectural acumen with a strong track record in defining and responding to architectural principles to design robust, scalable, secure Oracle cloud solutions.
• Proven experience in leading and managing technical designs and guiding broader program teams, on complex Oracle Cloud implementation or migration projects.
• Technical depth of understanding and hands-on experience with a broad range of Oracle Cloud services, including:

• Oracle Cloud Network Services: Virtual Cloud Networks, Load Balancers, Web Application Firewall, Network Firewall, Virtual Private Network, Local Peering, Remote Peering, Route Tables, Oracle Services Network.
• Business Continuity: Design and implementation of multi-region disaster recovery, domain name services, failover and switchback requirements for business continuity.
• Infrastructure as Code: Engineering the automation of Oracle Cloud Infra. network provisioning, deployment, maintenance. Proficiency in DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Enabling Technologies: Knowledge of Oracle Cloud enabling technologies, privaye end point architectures for Integration Cloud (OIC), Visual Builder (VBCS), Analytics Cloud (OAC), Autonomous Database (ADB).
• Oracle Cloud Applications: SaaS Web Application Firewall, Qualified Targets, Allowlisting, Location Based Access Control, Virtual Private Networks.

• Proficient in network security frameworks, with experience informing & implementing the controls for Oracle Cloud solutions.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, a pragmatic approach to overcoming technical challenges, ability to structure ambiguity to coalesce inputs to the required solution.
• Ability to travel when required.
• Able to pass UK Government SC clearance vetting
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Landing Zone variants.
• Hold relevant Oracle Cloud certifications (e.g. OCI Architect Professional, OCI Networking Professional, OCI Multi Cloud Professional).

Desirables:

• Experience with private cloud, data centre networks, hybrid cloud architectures.
• Experience with other public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Industry-specific knowledge relevant to Deloitte's client base (e.g. Public Sector, Financial Services, Private Sector).
