Job description
Voyager Family Health is looking for a practical, proactive IT & Clinical Systems Support Officer who enjoys solving problems and helping people.
In this role, you'll be the go-to person for day-to-day IT support across our GP practice, helping clinical and administrative staff quickly resolve technical issues so they can focus on what matters most - patient care.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. From fixing printers and supporting clinical systems to setting up equipment for new staff, you'll play a key part in keeping the practice running efficiently.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting the Practice's IT Systems
- Acting as the first point of contact for IT and systems issues
- Troubleshooting problems with:
- Printers, scanners and peripherals
-Telephony systems and phone bars

Self check-in kiosks

Workstations and user access

Add-on software and system integrations
- Responding quickly to issues that impact clinic operations
- Escalating technical issues to NHS IT support when needed
- Keeping simple records of IT issues and resolutions
Proactive Support
- Carrying out routine checks on IT equipment
- Identifying potential problems before they disrupt clinics
- Helping set up equipment and user accounts for new starters
- Supporting IT setup for meetings and training sessions
- Helping staff use systems more effectively
- Keeping our Social Media up to date
Supporting the Practice Environment
- Assisting with room setups and equipment moves
- Reporting facilities issues
- Supporting contractor access where required
Requirements
Do you have experience in Medical office experience?, Do you have a GCSE?, You don't need to be a senior IT specialist, but you should be technically confident, practical and solution-focused.
Essential
- Experience troubleshooting IT issues
- Confidence working with IT hardware and software
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills with both technical and non-technical users
- Ability to stay calm and organised in a busy environment
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
Desirable
- IT qualification or relevant training
- Experience supporting users in a busy workplace
- Experience in a GP practice or healthcare environment
- Familiarity with NHS IT systems, * Enjoys fixing problems and helping people
- Is approachable and supportive
- Takes initiative and looks for solutions
- Is reliable and organised
- Works well independently but enjoys being part of a team
