Job description

Hays are now looking for a Solution Architect / OSS Design (Huawei OSS) for one of our local clients.

  • £500 p/d Inside IR35
  • Hybrid - Bristol
  • 12 Month Contract

The Solution Architect / OSS Design Engineer is responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and continuity of a critical element-management platform. The role focuses on maintaining high service availability, ensuring accurate performance and alarm data delivery, and resolving platform and data-feed issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimise the OSS element-management platform to ensure consistent performance and availability.
  • Analyse and resolve faults affecting the platform or associated data feeds.
  • Ensure accurate northbound performance, configuration, and alarm data is delivered to operational systems.
  • Work collaboratively within the OSS design team to uphold service continuity throughout network migration.
  • Support improvements, documentation, and stability initiatives across OSS domains.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of Huawei MAE or similar element-management platforms.
  • Knowledge of mobile network OSS, RAN architecture, and interdependent network layers.
  • Experience in OSS fault analysis, diagnostics, and remediation.
  • Broader OSS design experience (highly desirable).
  • Familiarity with security tooling such as Qualys or CrowdStrike in conjunction with OSS platforms.
