Inside IR35

Operating within Adoption & Change Management (ACM) framework, reporting into the ACM Practice Lead the role works as part of multi-disciplinary delivery teams to ensure new services, systems and ways of working are successfully adopted, resilient and sustainable, with continuity risks understood, planned for and mitigated.

This is a hybrid delivery role, combining hands-on change management with defined Business Continuity responsibilities aligned to programme and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Change Management & Adoption Delivery

Deliver end-to-end change management activities aligned to ACM framework, ensuring adoption is planned alongside technical delivery.

Produce and maintain core change artefacts including:

-Change impact assessments

-Stakeholder analyses and engagement plans

-Communications plans (in collaboration with Communications Managers where applicable)

-Training, readiness and adoption plans

Embed change activities into integrated project plans, working closely with Project Managers, PMO and delivery leads to ensure realistic sequencing and a sustainable pace of change.

Engage directly with business stakeholders, operational teams, and end users to understand impacts, readiness, risks and concerns.

Support sponsors and people managers with practical guidance to enable adoption and manage resistance.

Business Continuity & Operational Resilience

Ensure business continuity and operational resilience considerations are explicitly assessed and addressed as part of change and transformation initiatives.

Support the development, review and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and related artefacts for impacted services, teams, or functions.

Identify and manage continuity-related risks arising from change, including:

Service disruption risks

Operational readiness gaps

Dependency and single-point-of-failure risks

Work with service owners, operational teams and risk stakeholders to ensure continuity plans are aligned to new ways of working, technologies and operating models.

Support continuity testing, scenario walkthroughs or readiness exercises where required, feeding outcomes into change and adoption plans.

Ensure continuity considerations are incorporated into transition-to-BAU activities and handover processes.

Adoption, Readiness & Risk Management

Track adoption, readiness and resilience indicators, escalating risks and recommending mitigation actions where change or continuity outcomes are at risk.

Balance change adoption and continuity needs, supporting the organisation through periods of heightened change without compromising operational stability.

Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement across both change delivery and continuity planning.

Governance, Reporting & Assurance

Provide regular, structured updates on change and continuity status, risks and outcomes to Project Managers and senior stakeholders.

Ensure change and continuity deliverables meet quality standards and support audit, assurance and governance requirements, particularly in regulated environments.

Support benefits realisation and sustainable transition into business-as-usual operations.

Practice & Capability Contribution

Contribute to the ongoing development of ACM capability and continuity integration by:

Reusing and improving templates, tools, and playbooks

Sharing delivery insights and good practice

Supporting internal communities of practice
