A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy are looking for an experienced Change & Business Continuity Manager, responsible for delivering business change, adoption and readiness activities across technology and transformation programmes, while also ensuring business continuity and operational resilience considerations are effectively embedded into change delivery.

Operating within Adoption & Change Management (ACM) framework, reporting into the ACM Practice Lead the role works as part of multi-disciplinary delivery teams to ensure new services, systems and ways of working are successfully adopted, resilient and sustainable, with continuity risks understood, planned for and mitigated.
This is a hybrid delivery role, combining hands-on change management with defined Business Continuity responsibilities aligned to programme and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Change Management & Adoption Delivery
Deliver end-to-end change management activities aligned to ACM framework, ensuring adoption is planned alongside technical delivery.
Produce and maintain core change artefacts including:
-Change impact assessments
-Stakeholder analyses and engagement plans
-Communications plans (in collaboration with Communications Managers where applicable)
-Training, readiness and adoption plans
Embed change activities into integrated project plans, working closely with Project Managers, PMO and delivery leads to ensure realistic sequencing and a sustainable pace of change.
Engage directly with business stakeholders, operational teams, and end users to understand impacts, readiness, risks and concerns.
Support sponsors and people managers with practical guidance to enable adoption and manage resistance.
Business Continuity & Operational Resilience
Ensure business continuity and operational resilience considerations are explicitly assessed and addressed as part of change and transformation initiatives.
Support the development, review and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and related artefacts for impacted services, teams, or functions.
Identify and manage continuity-related risks arising from change, including:
Service disruption risks
Operational readiness gaps
Dependency and single-point-of-failure risks
Work with service owners, operational teams and risk stakeholders to ensure continuity plans are aligned to new ways of working, technologies and operating models.
Support continuity testing, scenario walkthroughs or readiness exercises where required, feeding outcomes into change and adoption plans.
Ensure continuity considerations are incorporated into transition-to-BAU activities and handover processes.
Adoption, Readiness & Risk Management
Track adoption, readiness and resilience indicators, escalating risks and recommending mitigation actions where change or continuity outcomes are at risk.
Balance change adoption and continuity needs, supporting the organisation through periods of heightened change without compromising operational stability.
Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement across both change delivery and continuity planning.
Governance, Reporting & Assurance
Provide regular, structured updates on change and continuity status, risks and outcomes to Project Managers and senior stakeholders.
Ensure change and continuity deliverables meet quality standards and support audit, assurance and governance requirements, particularly in regulated environments.
Support benefits realisation and sustainable transition into business-as-usual operations.
Practice & Capability Contribution
Contribute to the ongoing development of ACM capability and continuity integration by:
Reusing and improving templates, tools, and playbooks
Sharing delivery insights and good practice
Supporting internal communities of practice
Required Skills & Experience:
Essential
Demonstrable experience delivering business change or adoption activities within technology, digital or organisational change programmes.
Practical experience producing and executing change plans, impact assessments and stakeholder engagement activities.
Experience supporting or embedding Business Continuity or operational resilience activities within projects, programmes or operational environments.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work confidently with operational teams, managers and delivery colleagues.
Understanding of how change management integrates with project and programme delivery (Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid).
Clear, structured communication skills - written and verbal - with the ability to translate technical and operational change into business-relevant impacts.
Desirable
Experience working in regulated or operationally critical environments.
Formal training or certification in Change Management (e.g. Prosci, APMG), Business Continuity (e.g. ISO 22301) or Project Management.
Experience supporting continuity planning, testing or resilience assurance activities.
Exposure to large-scale IT or digital transformation initiatives.
