Support Production Engineer

We are working with a leading international software company specialising in subsurface modelling and simulation, who are looking to hire a Support Production Engineer to join their growing team in Aberdeen. This is an excellent opportunity for a production engineer looking to move into a more client-facing, dynamic role, combining technical expertise with user interaction, training, and problem-solving. The Role: You will act as a key technical point of contact for clients, supporting the use of advanced simulation software for production and network modelling. Responsibilities include: Providing technical support to clients via email, phone, and occasional onsite visits Delivering training sessions to users and internal teams Developing example models and workflows to support client needs Supporting pre-sales activities alongside commercial teams Collaborating with development teams to enhance software functionality Participating in integrated simulation studies including data analysis, model building, and optimisation Representing the company at industry events and conferences where required

Degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline Experience in production engineering or production technology Experience with production or network modelling tools (e.g. GAP, Prosper, tNavigator, Eclipse, CMG) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Desirable: Experience with Python for automation or data analysis Exposure to reservoir modelling or integrated workflows Previous experience in a client-facing or support role
