IT Infrastructure Engineer

My client is looking for a talented and proactive IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their IT team and play a key role in supporting and evolving our core technology platforms.

This is a hands-on, varied role where you will work across on-premise and cloud environments, supporting critical systems, delivering infrastructure improvements, and acting as a senior escalation point within the team.

Duties.

• Act as a 3rd line escalation point for complex IT issues.
• Support and maintain core infrastructure (Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
• Manage and develop Microsoft 365, Azure AD (Entra), and Intune environments.
• Maintain VMware virtualisation platforms and storage (SAN).
• Support network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, Wi-Fi).
• Ensure reliable performance of critical business systems (e.g. SAP and other enterprise platforms).
• Manage backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring systems.
• Support telephony systems (e.g. 3CX, mobile platforms).
• Contribute to infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation.

Do you have experience in Virtualization?, * Proven experience in a 3rd line or infrastructure engineering role.

• Strong knowledge of the below.
• Windows Server & Active Directory.
• Microsoft 365 / Azure AD / Intune.
• VMware virtualisation.
• Enterprise networking (CCNA-level or equivalent).

Desirable Experience/Skills.

• Scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments (Azure).
• Citrix technologies (Virtual Apps/Desktop).
• Linux administration.
• Telephony systems (e.g. 3CX)., * Cisco CCNA.
• VMware Certification.
• ITIL Foundation.
