Job description
My client is looking for a talented and proactive IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their IT team and play a key role in supporting and evolving our core technology platforms.
This is a hands-on, varied role where you will work across on-premise and cloud environments, supporting critical systems, delivering infrastructure improvements, and acting as a senior escalation point within the team.

Duties.
- Act as a 3rd line escalation point for complex IT issues.
- Support and maintain core infrastructure (Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Manage and develop Microsoft 365, Azure AD (Entra), and Intune environments.
- Maintain VMware virtualisation platforms and storage (SAN).
- Support network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, Wi-Fi).
- Ensure reliable performance of critical business systems (e.g. SAP and other enterprise platforms).
- Manage backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring systems.
- Support telephony systems (e.g. 3CX, mobile platforms).
- Contribute to infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Virtualization?, * Proven experience in a 3rd line or infrastructure engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of the below.
- Windows Server & Active Directory.
- Microsoft 365 / Azure AD / Intune.
- VMware virtualisation.
- Enterprise networking (CCNA-level or equivalent).
Desirable Experience/Skills.
- Scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments (Azure).
- Citrix technologies (Virtual Apps/Desktop).
- Linux administration.
- Telephony systems (e.g. 3CX)., * Cisco CCNA.
- VMware Certification.
- ITIL Foundation.
