Job description
This role will lead the preparation for data migration to our new Salesforce CRM using advanced SQL to support the resolution of data quality issues. The post holder will work across the organisation, providing data and analysis to support business teams to make decisions around data retention and their future reporting needs.

To support data migration from our existing Dynamics 365 CRM to Salesforce by using advanced SQL skills to extract and analyse data to support mapping and data quality issue resolution.

Liaise with business users, providing analysis and additional context to resolve queries and complete data fixes in source system where required.

To interrogate existing reporting suite to inform data migration questions/quality issues
Data retention
- Analyse and present data from a range of sources including Dynamics 365 CRM and dotdigital to support decision making around which records should be migrated to the new system.

Requirements

Strong understanding of relational databases including the structure and methods for maintaining data integrity.

Knowledge of data integration processes, including importing, exporting, and transforming data between systems.

Understanding of data privacy and security legislation and best practices

A good understanding of data governance and how it works in relation to other governance structures
Skills

Advanced SQL skills to support data migration activities by providing extracts/additional context to business teams to resolve data quality issues.

Analytical skills to present and summarise data so it can be easily reviewed and interpreted by business users

Advanced Excel skills for manipulation, cleaning and restructuring data and data analysis.

Able to identify and systematically address data discrepancies and quality issues.

Analytical skills to combine different sources of data, test and explore hypotheses and draw conclusions
-
Able to elicit requirements from users and translate these into technical specifications

Power BI skills including DAX and Power Query to interrogate existing reporting suite to inform data migration questions/quality issues
Experience
-
Proven experience in running SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from large, complex databases.

Knowledge and experience of working with a CRM such as Dynamics 365 or Salesforce
-
Combining data from multiple sources effectively to produce user friendly reports and actionable insights.

Experience of working in the arts and culture sector

Experience of working on data migration
