As an IT Resiliency Engineer, you will join our dynamic, multidisciplinary IT Cyber Resiliency team, which ensures the Bank's ability to respond swiftly and effectively to critical failures, whether in applications or data centres. In this role, you will contribute to implementing regulations set by authorities such as the European Central Bank, the National Bank of Belgium, and our Group Policies.
You will be part of a close-knit team of nearly 20 professionals, based in our central Brussels office.
AND IN DETAIL
You drive the Bank's ability to respond and recover from critical application failures or cyber incidents through a range of key activities:
- Ownership of Resiliency Deliverables Partner with Application Owners to manage, validate, and track the development of:
- Critical Recovery Run Books (CRB)
- Disaster Recovery (DR) Unitary Exercise documentation
- Gap analyses to ensure completeness and compliance.
- Tribe Resiliency Leadership Act as the primary contact for multiple tribes on all resiliency matters, with regular follow-ups on:
- Infrastructure/application changes impacting deliverables.
- Progress on CRBs and DR exercises.
- Transversal DR Exercises (Fortis & IT Group) Play a hands-on role in planning, validating, and executing large-scale DR exercises, including:
- CRB validation and readiness assessments.
- Detailed capacity studies for infrastructure across both data centers.
- Stakeholder coordination (BNPPF & Group) to gather required inputs.
- Risk identification & mitigation planning for exercises.
- Master Run Book (MRB) development, consolidating actions from all CRBs.
- On-site facilitation during DR exercises (including nights/weekends, ~3x/year).
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent).
