Job description
We're looking for an IT Manager who can take ownership of our group-wide IT function, driving both operational excellence and strategic development across our business.

You'll play a key role in shaping how IT enables the business; leading projects, strengthening cyber security, and ensuring our systems evolve alongside our growth.
From managing infrastructure across multiple sites to delivering future-focused IT strategy, this is a hands-on leadership role with real impact.
What you'll be doing
- Leading IT across GBUK, ensuring a reliable and efficient environment
- Driving strategic IT projects that support business growth
- Managing and developing relationships with third-party IT service providers
- Overseeing network, server, and cloud-based infrastructure
- Strengthening cyber security and delivering staff training
- Developing and testing business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Managing IT budgets, forecasting, and cost control
- Creating and embedding IT policies, processes, and best practice
- Supporting, managing and developing your team
- Providing guidance to your direct reports on day-to-day and escalated issues
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure (networks, servers, end-user environments)
- A presence in the office, just outside Selby, at least 3 days per week
- Experience across on-premise and cloud-based systems (Microsoft 365, SharePoint)
- Proven track record of delivering IT projects
- Experience working with Managed Service Providers
- Confident communicator, able to engage stakeholders across the business
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong organisational skills
It would be great if you also have…
- Experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or similar environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central or MS SQL
- Experience with Power Apps or asset management systems
- Understanding of GDPR and data security best practices
