Job description

As a 2nd Line Support Engineer, you will handle escalated technical issues, work on infrastructure projects, and support client environments both remotely and onsite. You will play a key role in maintaining high service standards and mentoring 1st Line Engineers., * Resolve 1st & 2nd Line Support Tickets for Microsoft, Apple & Android Ecosystem

  • Diagnose complex desktop, server, and network issues
  • Manage and maintain Microsoft O365 and Azure environments
  • Support Windows Server environments
  • Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, switches, and Wi-Fi systems
  • Lead / Assist with IT projects (migrations, upgrades, deployments)
  • Perform onsite support across Cumbria when required
  • Assist with cybersecurity best practices and monitoring
  • Document systems, processes, and client infrastructure

Requirements

  • 4+ years IT support experience (ideally within an MSP)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft O365 & Azure AD
  • Experience with Windows Server & Active Directory
  • Solid networking knowledge (VLANs, VPNs, firewalls)
  • Backup solutions & disaster recovery understanding
  • Strong customer service skills and experience
  • Competent team player and contributor
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Experience with RMM and PSA tools
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity tools (EDR, MFA, email security)
  • Microsoft certifications
