Location: Gaydon/Solihull/Birmingham/Coventry (On-site) Rate: Up to £250 per day (Inside IR35) Duration: 6 months Start Date: ASAP IR35: Inside IR35
Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced End User Services (EUS) SME/Engineer to join a leading organisation within a manufacturing IT environment. This is a hands-on, on-site role supporting end-user infrastructure across multiple locations in the West Midlands.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, configuration, and support of end-user devices (desktops, laptops) and peripherals (printers, scanners)
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues across Windows, macOS, Ubuntu, and mobile devices
- Supporting LAN connectivity issues from an end-user computing perspective
- Managing software deployments, upgrades, and security patching
- Working with MECM for application deployment, packaging, and OS deployment (OSD)
- Collaborating with internal teams and third-party vendors for hardware break/fix and replacements
- Contributing to automation and systems management improvements within the EUS landscape
Key Skills Required
- Strong experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
- Proven expertise in Windows 7, 10, and 11 environments
- Solid understanding of end-user hardware and enterprise IT environments
- Experience supporting multi-OS platforms (Windows, Linux/Ubuntu, macOS)
- Good networking troubleshooting skills (EUC perspective)
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Comfortable working in a client-facing, on-site support role
Experience
- 5+ years' experience in End User Services/Desktop Support (flexible for strong candidates)
