Job description

  • As an IT Consultant at Interm IT, your primary role will be to provide exceptional support to schools. This includes managing, setting up, and troubleshooting a variety of IT equipment within educational institutions. You will act as an extended member of each school's team, working closely with staff to ensure their technology meets the educational environment's needs. Your expertise will be crucial in implementing and supporting IT infrastructure, while your effective communication will contribute to a collaborative atmosphere.

Requirements

  • As a consultant at Interm IT, you will become an effective member of the school's team. We are looking for candidates with IT infrastructure experience, ideally within the education sector. A passion for IT is essential, along with a solid understanding of the requirements and responsibilities of working in a school environment. You will need to have experience in managing, setting up, and troubleshooting servers, PCs, Macs, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
  • We prefer candidates with good knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, WSUS, MDT, WDS, MS Intune, VLANs, Lightspeed, Google Suite, M365, Microsoft Azure, and Intune. A basic understanding of wireless protocols is also necessary. Excellent communication skills and an approachable manner are essential, as well as the ability to work well under pressure, both independently and as part of a team. A driving license and car are mandatory, as you will be required to travel between sites. The successful candidate will also need to pass an enhanced DBS check.
