Job description

  • Supporting software integration tasks on physical properties for Motion and Propulsion teams, identifying root causes of any issues and ensuing engagement from the relevant team to support.
  • Support Integration leads with alignment of Motion SW freeze/release dates with vehicle programmes to map programme and build specific requirements.
  • Supporting Squads/Chapters within both the internal team and externally to the wider organisation to deliver against build requirements.
  • Taking snapshots, evaluating data from the connected vehicle data lake, vehicle network and ECU logs, as well as the diagnosis and resolution of electrical system issues.
  • Lead preparation of vehicles (test and / or fleet) with correct software and calibrations (i.e., ADVs FEUs and GLVs)
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

Requirements

We are looking for a dynamic individuals to fill various roles for Support Engineers. The ideal candidate should possess expertise and experience in the skill sets mentioned below., * Degree in a Mechanical or Automotive Engineering discipline.

  • Experience of Automotive Chassis Engineering and Vehicle Dynamics gained in an OEM or First Tier supplier environment.
  • Experience at fault finding with Automotive Software and Networks.
  • Excellent team-working, organisation and communication skills able to adapt into a multi -disciplinary environment.
  • Experience with software management on development vehicles, as well as software complexity and compatibility requirement.
  • Self-motivated and able to work to a high standard with minimal supervision.
  • Candidates must be committed, flexible and able to work under pressure and beyond normal working hours when required.
  • Significant experience in planning and delivery of complex multi-disciplinary projects in an automotive mechanical or electronics environment using a "Gateway" based process.
