Job description

TECKpert is seeking a SAP ERP Senior Consultant to support TECKpert's client, a federal government agency. This is a remote, full-time contract role supporting the agency's SAP ERP environment, including system configuration, module support, troubleshooting, upgrade assistance, and knowledge transfer to staff.

The consultant will provide senior-level expertise across SAP modules including Production Planning, Sales and Distribution, Material Management, Payroll, and General Ledger. The role also involves project management responsibilities, coordinating functional and technical team efforts, and assisting with SAP S/4 HANA upgrades and third-party interface configurations.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide senior-level SAP ERP system configuration expertise, including configuration of third-party software integrations
  • Support and troubleshoot SAP modules including Production Planning, Sales and Distribution, Material Management, Payroll, and General Ledger
  • Assist with SAP S/4 HANA upgrade activities during support pack and version updates
  • Provide project management coordination across functional and technical team members for assigned ERP projects
  • Deliver knowledge transfer and informal training to junior-level staff on SAP Supply Chain and related modules
  • Support US Treasury G-Invoicing integration and SAP API connectivity
  • Troubleshoot issues within the SAP ERP system and provide recommendations to improve system performance
  • Work with key end users and technical personnel to develop and configure the ERP system per agency requirements
  • Assist with tracking actual costs against budgeted amounts for contract delivery orders and task orders
  • Work with primary administrators to ensure administrative coverage is maintained
  • Provide weekly status reports on completed tasks and upcoming initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience and certifications
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with SAP system configuration, including configuration of third-party software and SAP configuration modules
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with SAP business processes including supply chain management, materials management, and production planning
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing troubleshooting assistance within SAP ERP systems
  • Minimum of two (2) years of project management experience coordinating functional and technical ERP team efforts
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience with US Treasury G-Invoicing and SAP API integration
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience with SAP S/4 HANA upgrades, support packs, or version updates
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing training and knowledge transfer to staff
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP certification in one or more relevant modules (MM, PP, SD, FI/CO)
  • Experience working in federal government or corrections environments
  • Experience with SAP integration options and third-party interfaces
  • Experience supporting SAP ERP in a manufacturing or production environment

This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position (1 base year + 2 option years) with pay commensurate with experience up to $90 an hour. Remote work with occasional travel possible.
