Job description
This position will support government accounts. Therefore, due to federal export-control regulations, the selected candidate must hold U.S. citizenship, U.S. lawful permanent resident/Green Card status or otherwise have a category of refugee/asylee status enabling them to perform the role without requiring a license under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
Designs, analyzes, develops, modifies and evaluates electrical/electronic parts, components, sub-systems, algorithms, or integrated circuitry for HPC electrical/electronic equipment and other hardware systems.
Interacts with key representative of hardware design, FW and SW to help direct & resolve system issues across the solution.
Learn development cycles for HW, FW and SW groups and act as intermediate and leader of this group. Assists in architecture development and assessment. Evaluates reliability of materials, properties, designs, and techniques used in production. May direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication.
Learn and contributes to assignments by applying hardware and software concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through specialized training, education, or previous experience. Acts as team member by providing information, analysis and recommendations in support of team efforts. Exercises independent judgment within defined parameters., * Designs portions of engineering solutions for electrical and electronic parts, subsystems, integrated circuitry, and algorithms based on established engineering principles and in accordance with provided specifications and requirements.
- Implements and a key contributor of a HPC group of HW, FW and SW engineers that reviews test plans for existing designs, and directs issues to the appropriate development owner.
- Develops understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced development partners on HW, FW and SW design and development.
- Participates as a member of project team of other electrical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for low to moderately- complex products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. Typically 0-2 years experience., * Experience or understanding of electrical design tools and software packages.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of basic design for electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms.
- Understanding of thermal and electromagnetic properties of materials and managing emissions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- United States of America: Annual Salary USD 62,900 - 145,300 in Texas The listed salary range reflects base salary. Variable incentives may also be offered."
