Job description

We are seeking a motivated IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual who has some foundational experience in information technology and a strong desire to continue learning and growing within the field. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day IT support activities while developing deeper technical skills across systems administration, networking, and cybersecurity. Essential Job Function

  • Provide Level 1-2 technical support for end users including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
  • Respond to and resolve help desk tickets in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with workstation setup, configuration, and maintenance (Windows, peripherals, and mobile devices)
  • Support user account management, permissions, and basic system administration tasks
  • Assist with network troubleshooting including connectivity, switching, and basic infrastructure issues
  • Participate in system upgrades, maintenance, and infrastructure improvements
  • Document issues, solutions, and processes to improve support efficiency
  • Work closely with senior IT staff to learn and assist with more advanced infrastructure and security tasks

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in an IT support or help desk role
  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 environments
  • Familiarity with networking concepts such as IP addressing, DNS, and switching
  • Exposure to cybersecurity practices or security-focused environments
  • Awareness or experience with CMMC or working in a regulated compliance environment is a plus

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ (or working toward certification)
  • Experience with virtualization, cloud services, or endpoint management tools
  • Exposure to compliance frameworks such as CMMC, NIST, or similar standards
