Job description
The VP of Information Security leads the credit union's information security program, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and resilience of systems and data. This role partners with executive leadership on cyber risk strategy, compliance, business continuity, and third-party risk while developing and mentoring security teams.
Essential Functions: -Lead and evolve a proactive, enterprise-wide information security program -Develop a risk-aware security strategy in partnership with executive leadership -Serve as the primary advisor on cyber risk for business, product, and vendor decisions -Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing -Identify, report, and remediate security control gaps and risks -Manage team development, budgeting, capacity planning, and vendor relationships
Requirements
High School Diploma/ GED -5+ years leading enterprise information security in a regulated environment, with ownership of security strategy, risk management, executive reporting, business resilience (disaster recovery and business continuity programs), team leadership, budgeting, and third-party oversight. -Minimum of five years of supervisory experience -Demonstrable experience planning and executing information security strategy in a regulated industry -Experience in control evaluation and implementation including technical and non-technical control areas -Experience supporting security efforts within agile application development teams -Experience planning, implementing and exercising system and process resilience -ISC2 CISSP or similar information security leadership certification
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in business administration, management information systems, or computer science. In lieu of bachelor's degree, four years of related experience will equal to bachelor's degree
