Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. The candidate must have strong expertise in building automated test frameworks and writing scalable test automation using Python, Typescript, and modern testing tools. Rate Range: $43/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Developer job responsibilities include: Design and develop automated test frameworks that support scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation. Build end-to-end, integration, and unit tests using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, and Python/Typescript. Implement CI/CD-driven automation workflows in Concourse and support continuous testing pipelines. Analyze test results, document defects in Jira, and maintain clear visibility into quality metrics. Contribute to software design discussions and review automation code to ensure standards and best practices. Manage test infrastructure, tools, and test data while driving quality strategies and coverage improvements.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 6-8 years of hands-on experience as an SDET or Test Automation Engineer. Strong proficiency in building automated test frameworks and writing scalable test code using Python, Typescript, and modern testing tools. Proven ability to work with CI/CD pipelines (Concourse/Jenkins) and deliver high-quality automated and manual testing across applications.
