Job description
- Design and implement firmware for manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and debug embedded systems during production.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate new components and systems.
- Develop and maintain real-time operating systems for industrial control.
- Optimize embedded software for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct testing and validation of embedded systems to meet quality standards.
- Provide technical support for deployed embedded systems in manufacturing facilities., Firmware Engineer, Embedded Software Engineer, Hardware Engineer, IoT Engineer, Real-time Systems Engineer, Embedded Hardware Engineer, Robotics Engineer, Control Systems Engineer, ASIC Design Engineer, FPGA Design Engineer
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in embedded software development for manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming for microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters).
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET).
- Experience with sensor integration, motor control, and data acquisition systems in manufacturing.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) beyond basic scheduling.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, PROFINET, CAN).
- Knowledge of functional safety standards and their application in embedded systems (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508).
- Proficiency in hardware description languages (VHDL/Verilog) for FPGA/ASIC design.
- Demonstrated ability to debug complex hardware/software interactions using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
