Job description

The Data & Analytics team within Walmart's Last Mile Delivery Trust & Safety organization focuses on delivering actionable insights through advanced data analysis and visualization. The team collaborates closely with cross-functional partners to develop key performance indicators and track project progress. Members utilize tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, and Tableau to structure data and support business decisions. This team thrives in a dynamic environment, emphasizing project governance, data quality, and stakeholder engagement to drive impactful outcomes that enhance operational efficiency and support Walmart's commitment to excellence.

What you'll do:

  • Support implementation of business solutions by executing data processes, monitoring processes, and ensuring timely delivery of insights.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable analytics projects.

  • Analyze and visualize large datasets using SQL, Python, R, Tableau, and Power BI to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate findings to technical and non-technical partners.

  • Contribute to data modeling, warehousing, and development of metrics frameworks under guidance of senior team members.

  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with privacy and security standards.

  • Adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

We are seeking a Data Analyst II to support the Data & Analytics function within Walmart's Last Mile Delivery (LMD) Trust & Safety (T&S) organization. This role entails writing SQL queries and structuring data tables optimal for business use or visualizations, working with cross-functional stakeholders to develop KPIs and metrics to track the status of their projects, and collaborating with team members to execute on larger business projects. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in a fast-changing environment, all aspects of data analytics, project management, and stakeholder engagement., + Bachelor's degree in quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics) or equivalent experience

  • Experience using SQL and other coding languages (Python, R), ETL tools (Dataiku, Tableau prep builder) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)

  • 1+ year of experience in a data science role OR 2+ years of experience in a data-centric business operations / strategy operations roles in Tech

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
