IT Manager - East Lansing Area job in East Lansing

• Oversee and maintain all manufacturing IT systems and infrastructure.
• Manage the deployment, maintenance, and support of factory floor technology.
• Ensure the security and integrity of manufacturing data and operational technology (OT) systems.
• Lead IT projects related to manufacturing process improvements and automation.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify and implement technology solutions for operational efficiency.
• Develop and manage the IT budget for manufacturing operations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the manufacturing IT support team.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and their implementation/management in a manufacturing context.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and the application of IT solutions to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
• Demonstrated experience in network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data management within an industrial setting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) in a manufacturing context.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT).
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and how IT supports them.
• Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or relevant vendor-specific certifications.
• Experience with IoT solutions and data analytics for manufacturing optimization.
