IT Systems Administrator - Lansing Area job in Lansing

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Manage and support virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and associated storage solutions.
• Oversee network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Implement and maintain data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues across manufacturing operations.
• Monitor system performance, security logs, and alerts to proactively identify and resolve potential problems.
• Deploy, configure, and manage endpoint devices, including workstations, laptops, and specialized manufacturing equipment.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT systems administration, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Office 365.
• Experience with network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi) and security best practices.
• Familiarity with industrial control systems (ICS) or operational technology (OT) environments.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA or MES systems.
• Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Modbus TCP/IP, EtherNet/IP).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for operational technology (OT) environments.
• Experience supporting ERP systems in a manufacturing context (e.g., SAP, Oracle EBS).
