Job description
Job Overview We are seeking a Desktop Support / IT Warehouse Technician to support IT warehouse operations, device deployments, and end-user computing needs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, inventory management, and supporting internal users in a fast-paced environment. The technician will be responsible for hardware fulfillment, imaging, inventory tracking, and ticket resolution while following established IT policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities

Provide hands-on desktop and PC support for end users

Manage tickets assigned through an IT Service Management (ITSM) system (e.g., ServiceNow)

Prepare, image, and deploy computers using USB-based imaging or enterprise imaging tools

Troubleshoot Windows 10 operating system issues

Fulfill IT hardware requests including laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices

Maintain and track warehouse inventory, including check-in/check-out of equipment

Update asset records in inventory systems such as SAP

Ship IT equipment and process incoming and outgoing hardware requests

Assist with equipment recovery for offboarded employees

Coordinate equipment returns with managers and users

Send return boxes and shipping labels

Process returned equipment in compliance with data retention policies

Perform peripheral setups including monitors, docks, keyboards, and other accessories

May be required to travel onsite to pick up or deliver equipment
Requirements
-
Hands-on PC support experience (3+ months minimum)

Experience imaging computers (USB-based or tools such as SCCM)

Strong Windows 10 troubleshooting skills

Minimum of 2 years of experience in:

Warehouse or stockroom activities or
-
Computer support, desktop support, or IT service roles

Familiarity with:

Microsoft Office 365 and related applications

Incident management or ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, ITSM platforms)

Hardware inventory systems

Valid driver's license required Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Associate degree or higher
-
CompTIA A+ certification

Familiarity with SAP
-
Prior experience in IT hardware fulfillment, mobility support, or device deployment

This is a Contract position based out of Waukegan, IL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
