Job description
The PC Support Technician provides hands-on technical support within a hospital environment, focusing on laptop and desktop refreshes, device deployment, and day-to-day troubleshooting. This role works directly with clinical and administrative staff to ensure reliable technology, minimal workflow disruption, and compliance with healthcare IT standards. Key Responsibilities
- Perform laptop and desktop refreshes, including imaging, installation, configuration, and post-deployment validation
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network connectivity issues for end users
- Provide on-site technical support to hospital staff, prioritizing patient-care-critical systems
- Coordinate equipment replacements, upgrades, and removals with minimal operational impact
- Maintain accurate documentation of asset inventory, tickets, and service activities
- Follow hospital IT policies, security standards, and change management procedures
- Collaborate with desktop, networking, and systems teams to resolve escalated issues
- Assist with peripheral setup and support (monitors, printers, docking stations, mobile devices)
- Ensure devices meet security, compliance, and patching requirements
Requirements
- Previous experience in a field services, desktop support, or technical support role
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- Experience supporting end users in a regulated or healthcare environment is a plus, * Desktop and laptop support

Benefits & conditions
This is a Contract position based out of Milwaukee, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
