Job description
- Lead and coordinate daily work for a team of five Data Center Technicians
- Serve as primary escalation point for installation, deployment, and decommissioning issues
- Move servers and switches to designated installation locations
- Inspect hardware for physical damage prior to installation
- Perform smoke testing to validate server functionality
- Install servers, switches, and associated cabling per provided wire maps
- Ensure cabling is neatly bundled and compliant with site data center standards
- Validate cabling and link status with network administrators
- Install additional hardware components including NICs, drives, and memory
- Assist with unboxing, staging, and preparation of servers
- Conduct audits of servers and consumable inventory
- Track and document installed asset locations
- Document failed components requiring RMA by client representatives
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as primary on-site point of contact for customer representatives
- Attend weekly project status meetings
- Provide progress reports to appropriate stakeholders as required
- Communicate project status, risks, and blockers for the on-site team
- Coordinate with site logistics to track inventory received under project scope
- Maintain accurate documentation of assets and failed parts

Requirements
- Proven experience leading data center deployment teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder-facing skills
- Advanced hands-on experience with server installs, decommissions, and refresh projects
- Highly organized with strong reporting and documentation practices
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, production data center environments

This is a Contract position based out of Sparks, NV. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.00/hr.
