Job description
The Junior Data Center Technician supports daily data center operations with a primary focus on low-voltage cabling and basic IT infrastructure tasks. This role assists with installation, maintenance, and documentation of structured cabling, racks, and IT hardware while working under the guidance of senior technicians and leads. Ideal for candidates building foundational experience in data center environments., * Assist with installation and removal of low-voltage cabling (Cat5/Cat6 and fiber)
- Pull, dress, label, and secure cables following data center standards
- Support rack and stack of servers, switches, and network equipment
- Perform basic server and network hardware installations and removals
- Assist with connecting power and network cables per provided diagrams or port maps
- Maintain cable organization, labeling accuracy, and workspace cleanliness
- Support basic troubleshooting of connectivity, cabling, and hardware issues
- Assist with equipment unboxing, staging, and preparation
- Update documentation including asset locations, labels, and work logs
- Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures within the data center

Benefits & conditions
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, NV. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
