Job description

This isn't just a job-it's a front-line seat to global security. We are looking for a high-impact Network Operations Center (NOC) Specialist to join our elite team at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah. If you thrive in high-stakes environments where "mission-critical" is the standard and "global impact" is the daily routine, this is where you belong.

The Mission

As a key player in our 24/7/365 operations, you are the digital guardian of the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN). You won't just be "fixing tech"-you'll be hunting faults, isolating root causes, and restoring vital communication lines that span the globe. From troubleshooting complex routing issues to coordinating with international service providers, you are the link between a problem and a solution.

What You'll Do Command the Queue: Take ownership of the Service Now environment, triaging tickets and providing expert feedback to keep the mission moving. Elite Troubleshooting: Perform deep-dive fault analysis and incident correlation. When an alarm hits, you're the one who finds the "why" and "how" to fix it. Global Impact: Provide situational awareness to senior leadership and customers, ensuring every stakeholder from the base to the Pentagon knows the status of the network. Master the Infrastructure: Work hands-on with a massive array of tech: Cisco, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, Optical Switching, and Crypto devices. Mentor & Lead: Shape the next generation by training junior controllers and evaluating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to make the team faster and smarter.

Requirements

Clearance: Active Secret Security Clearance (must be eligible for Top Secret). Certification: DoD-8570 IAT Level II (Security+ CE or equivalent) is required to start. Education: High School Diploma with 3-5 years of hands-on experience. Experience: Proven background in alarm surveillance, fault management, or LAN maintenance. The Technical Toolkit: You should be an expert in at least four of the following: Routers & Switches (Cisco, Juniper) Crypto Devices DSN/DRSN & Video Services Optical Switching/DWDM/MSPP Promina Systems

About the company

Located at the foot of the stunning Wasatch Mountains, Ogden is an outdoor lover's paradise. When you aren't protecting the network at Hill AFB, you're minutes away from world-class skiing, mountain biking, and hiking. It's the perfect blend of a high-tech career and a high-quality lifestyle.
