Job description
- Assist in architecting and designing Business Intelligence solutions to drive insights using data and data analytics
- Partner with stakeholders, process specialists, business teams, and users to elicit and document business requirements for new metrics and reports
- Develop scorecards, static and interactive dashboards, data visualizations, data extracts, and other analytics and reporting to tactically meet the needs of stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop end-to-end solutions including data acquisition, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data analytics, and data visualizations
- Assist in the development of complex interactive/dynamic dashboards, complex data modeling, and other data visualizations to support decision making at DTSC
- Partner with the data management team to support the enterprise business intelligence system including: ETL/ELT, data cleansing/quality, operational data store (ODS), data warehouse (DW), and data mart components as well as end user reporting, analysis, and visualization tools, Electronic applications submitted through your CalCareer Account are highly recommended. Requirements
- Knowledge and Experience with data analytics and report design principles
- Experience or education in one or more of the following technologies: Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, Google Looker, etc. Power BI experience is strongly desired
- Understanding of a typical data stack, e.g. Data Warehouses, Query layer and Presentation layer
- Experience with running basic SQL queries to extract data
- Knowledge of Data Modeling concepts e.g. Star-schema, Snowflake schema and Aggregation etc
- Experience in modeling a semantic layer in an Enterprise Setting, including defining relationships between entities and deriving needed data columns
- Experience building data visualization and analytics solutions in an enterprise setting using BI data visualization products, This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Benefits & conditions
