Job description

  • Support the transition of new optical and electronic technologies from R&D into prototyping and production by leading hands-on and automated testing processes.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for complex electronic and electro-optical systems.
  • Manage test stations, procedures, and equipment selection to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Document test designs, operating procedures, and train production staff on equipment use and data interpretation.
  • Collaborate across hardware, software, R&D, and QA/QC teams to troubleshoot hardware failures and recommend design improvements.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED; relevant technical training or associate degree preferred.
  • At least 5+ years of relevant engineering experience in electronic hardware testing; candidates with 10+ years will also be considered.
  • Proven experience developing, implementing, and executing electronic hardware test plans.
  • Hands-on experience testing and validating electronic and electro-optical systems, from prototypes through production.
  • Strong organizational skills, self-direction, and the ability to meet technical and project goals with minimal supervision.
