Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience., The Intermediate-Level ERP Analyst serves as a key functional support resource and primary point of contact for business customers and Business Relationship Managers, providing day-to-day support for the University's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and related systems. This position resides within Applications, Development and Integrations (ADI), a unit of UFIT, and is ideal for a team member who enjoys applying analytical and creative thinking to develop business solutions that meet the needs of core administrative offices and enhances operational efficiency across the University. The successful applicant will demonstrate functional and application expertise in the business content, processes, and procedures of the supported units, with a strong focus on understanding and improving the business processes they enable. Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:
- Functional Administration: Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday security application.
- System Support & Troubleshooting: Provide responsive and proactive application support in a 24/7 environment, resolving functional issues and collaborating with technical teams as needed.
- Change Management Participation: Contribute to the full software development life-cycle from requirements gathering through testing and implementation, focusing on functional impacts and the user experience.
- Business Process Analysis: Evaluate and improve business workflows and practices. Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimization and develop both short- and long-term solutions for complex system challenges.
- Impact Assessment: Analyze implication of system upgrades and configuration changes to ensure continuity and compliance with business requirements.
- Document & Knowledge Management: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including business requirements, process flows, procedures and system configurations to support knowledge transfer and operational consistency.
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Develop and execute test plans, scripts and procedures to validate system changes and ensure alignment with quality standards and organizational policies.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work independently and as part of cross-functional project teams. Communicate effectively with technical staff, business users, and leadership to translate business needs into functional solutions.
Requirements
Associate's degree and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. Preferred: The ideal candidate will possess the following education, experience, and skills:
- ERP System Expertise: Hands-on experience with Workday Security.
- Core Application Systems Knowledge: Ability to navigate and work within ERP and related systems to evaluate, explain, enhance, and implement functional features that support business operations.
- Workflow & Process Management: Proficiency in managing IT-related work activities, business processes, and project operations with a focus on efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes of issues and develop creative, effective solutions using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Business Analysis: Experience with facilitating stakeholder discussions to define business requirements and translate them into functional specifications that guide system enhancements and process improvements.
- Quality Assurance & Change Management: Familiarity with incident tracking, change request processes, and release management practices to ensure system stability and continuous improvement.
