Job description

Primary responsibilities include the installation, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of audio and visual equipment, live broadcasting encoders, desktop computers, laptops, multifunctional printers, scanners, plotters, video conferencing equipment and handheld mobile devices.

Ability to identify and resolve issues in response to customer request for support. Supports Board of Trustee meetings, forum and customer outreach events, and public input session. Provides setup, operation and breakdown of audio and visual equipment for both internal and external events.

Assists with Corporate Communication and Public Relations events at sites as well as other locations in San Antonio and surrounding service areas.

Schedules and coordinates with employees and vendors the delivery and installation of A/V and printer equipment.

Sponsored events can occur after normal business hours, weekends and Holidays. Additional responsibilities include creating troubleshooting procedures, product use documentation end user training materials, vendor mgmt., and staying current on recent industry related technologies.

Position requires call duty rotation to provide 24 x 7 support, if needed.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Supports audio and visual needs for board meetings, corporate events, public relations and onsite or remote meetings.
  • Provide on-site and remote support for Tier 2 and Tier 3 audio/visual equipment, multifunctional printers, scanners, desktop, laptops, phones, and handheld devices.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs on multifunctional printers, plotters and scanners.
  • Ability to setup, configure and breakdown audio visual equipment projectors, mixers, microphones and speakers.
  • Ability to review or create process and end user documentation for the installation, troubleshooting and training of equipment.
  • Ability to prioritize daily and weekly assigned tasks.
  • Provides equipment relocation services of PC and MFP equipment.
  • Maintain technical skills through independent research training and / or conferences.
  • Identifies improvements in existing process or procedures to increase the level of efficiency.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Word processing?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

  • Entry level experience in the setup, support and maintenance of audio / visual equipment including LCD/LED TV’s, projectors and PA Systems.
  • Familiar with working in a tiered support structure organization.
  • Proven experience in the setup, support and maintenance of multifunctional printers, scanners, and plotters.
  • Ability to follow directions and analyze problems to deliver results.
  • Basic knowledge of PC Networking concepts and terminology, with a familiarity of Windows Active Directory.
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software and email.
  • Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License with favorable driving record., * Associates degree or higher
  • A+ Certification, Networking + Certification
  • Basic knowledge in the field of Audio / Visual
  • Basic Knowledge in the field of reprographics
