Job description

  • Provide first-level technical support to onsite field technicians, vendors, and contractors during technology implementations and upgrades.
  • Support multiple technology rollout projects simultaneously.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls through a support queue.
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware and technology issues during store implementations.
  • Document call activity, updates, and resolutions using tracking applications.
  • Perform system validations and follow project implementation procedures.
  • Communicate updates through email, Microsoft Excel, and other project documentation tools.
  • Assist with technology deployment activities across different projects and locations.
  • Adjust work schedules when needed to support project timelines, evening implementations, and different time zones.

Schedule Requirements

  • Regular schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM
  • This position requires onsite work in Smithfield, RI.
  • Training will be conducted onsite for approximately one week.
  • Training hours may be scheduled during daytime hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Shift times may occasionally change based on project requirements with advance notice.

Requirements

This position is ideal for someone with experience in IT support, hardware installations, troubleshooting, or technology implementation who enjoys working on multiple projects and providing hands-on technical assistance., * Minimum of 1 year of relevant IT, technical support, or technology implementation experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with technicians, vendors, and project teams
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in an onsite technical support environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with IT hardware installation or deployment
  • Experience supporting technology rollouts, upgrades, or implementations
  • Working knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Basic technical support tools and systems
