Job description
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Water Infrastructure Project Manager to lead complex civil engineering initiatives from conceptual design through construction completion. You will serve as a technical authority, driving the success of water and wastewater treatment projects while mentoring junior engineering staff to ensure high-quality, sustainable infrastructure delivery. Responsibilities
- Direct the full project lifecycle, including scope development, proposal preparation, and technical design oversight for water treatment plants and distribution systems.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of municipal utility infrastructure.
- Lead and mentor junior engineering teams, fostering professional growth and technical excellence within the department.
- Coordinate with municipal agencies and stakeholders to secure project approvals and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Utilize AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office Suite to produce high-quality design documentation and project reports.
- Drive business development efforts by identifying new project opportunities and maintaining client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Active North Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 5 to 15+ years of progressive experience in water or wastewater treatment plant design and infrastructure.
- Proven track record in managing complex civil engineering projects and construction administration.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software., * Established relationships with local and state municipal agencies.
- Experience presenting technical findings at industry conferences.
- Active participation in professional engineering associations.
- Demonstrated success in business development and client acquisition.
