Job description
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Systems Administrator to join our growing team based in Stansted. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working across a broad range of technologies, supporting users, maintaining IT infrastructure, and driving continuous improvement across business systems.
You will play a key role in managing the organisation’s IT environment, supporting business-critical applications, maintaining network and server infrastructure, and developing solutions that improve efficiency and performance.
IT Systems Administrator Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day IT support to users across the business.
- Administer and develop the WINGS business system.
- Support and maintain business applications, including Microsoft 365, Centrik, PART IS, and other operational systems.
- Manage network and server infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Develop software solutions and automation to improve business processes.
- Monitor system security, backups, and IT performance.
- Maintain the IT asset register and manage IT equipment, including PCs, laptops, and mobile phones.
- Deliver user training and maintain technical documentation.
- Manage and update the company website.
- Liaise with Group IT and external providers to deliver effective IT services.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in an IT Systems Administrator, IT Support, or Infrastructure role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows environments, networking, and server administration.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and business applications.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for improving systems and processes.
Desirable
- Experience with WINGS, PART IS, or similar ERP/MRO systems.
- Software development or scripting experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, SQL, or automation tools.
