Job description

As a Manufacturing Systems Engineer, you will drive operational excellence by leading capital projects that enhance safety, product quality, and production efficiency. You will serve as a key technical lead, collaborating across departments to implement innovative equipment and assembly solutions that directly improve the organization’s bottom line. Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle of capital projects, including the integration of new manufacturing equipment and advanced assembly systems.
  • Analyze existing operations and workflows to uncover opportunities for reducing scrap, rework, and cycle times.
  • Evaluate and select vendor proposals to ensure technical alignment and cost-effectiveness for new hardware investments.
  • Design and specify custom tools, jigs, and fixtures to optimize production throughput.
  • Utilize continuous improvement methodologies to refine manufacturing processes and develop clear visual work instructions.
  • Partner with maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure peak operational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Materials Engineering (or 6+ years of equivalent professional experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing capital projects involving equipment implementation.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo.
  • Strong grasp of engineering principles, process mapping, and root cause analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to cross-functional teams., * 2-4 years of experience within a metal manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing techniques and FMEA.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for data analysis and reporting.
  • A proactive mindset focused on achieving world-class performance standards.
