Job description
Sonnenberg Schools is seeking a reliable and solutions-oriented Technology Support Specialist to support our staff, students, and administrative systems. This role is responsible for maintaining day-to-day technology operations, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring all digital tools and platforms run smoothly across the two school locations., * Provide technical support to teachers, staff, and students for hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Manage and support core systems including PowerSchool SIS, Securly, Google Education Suite and ParentSquare
- Maintain and troubleshoot student and staff devices, including Chromebooks and tablets
- Assist in the management and monitoring of school security systems, including security cameras
- Configure, deploy, and update devices and applications across the organization
- Support user account management, permissions, and access across platforms
- Respond to support requests in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with administration and contracted IT support to improve system efficiency and security
- Provide basic training and guidance to staff on technology tools and best practices
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Experience supporting educational technology systems preferred
- Familiarity with PowerSchool SIS, Securly, Google Workspace for Education, and ParentSquare is highly desirable
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Experience working with Chromebooks, tablets, and device management systems
