Desktop Technician

PrideStaff is hiring an IT Desktop Helpdesk professional. In this position, you will provide technical support to end-users for desktop systems, hardware, and software. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential to transition into a permanent role with our client., * Provide technical assistance to end-users in person, via phone, or through remote tools.

• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues. Perform maintenance and updates to systems.
• Install, configure, and upgrade desktop hardware components (CPUs, RAM, storage) and software applications.
• Set up workstation equipment for users, including printers, scanners, monitors, and peripheral devices.
• Work with IT teams to escalate and resolve technical issues.
• Record issues and resolutions within a ticketing system and instruct end-users on troubleshooting techniques.

• Experience in an IT Desktop Helpdesk or technical support role.
• Knowledge of desktop hardware, operating systems, software applications, and network connectivity.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policies, and user account management.
• Problem-solving skills, customer service skills, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or degrees are a plus.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $25.00 - $35.00 Per Hour
