Job description

The IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst supports the governance, tracking, and optimization of IT assets across their lifecycle. This role focuses on maintaining accurate asset data, supporting compliance efforts, and delivering actionable insights to improve cost efficiency and operational performance., Asset Lifecycle Execution Manage day-to-day operations of IT asset lifecycle (procurement deployment tracking

  • Ensure timely updates to asset records across ITAM and CMDB systems
  • Coordinate asset refresh, reclamation, and disposal activities

Data Management & Accuracy

  • Maintain high-quality, reconciled asset data across multiple systems
  • Conduct regular data validation, audits, and inventory reconciliations
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies proactively

Software Asset Management (SAM)

  • Track software licenses, entitlements, and consumption
  • Support license compliance and audit readiness activities
  • Optimize license utilization and reduce unnecessary spend

Vendor & Contract Support

  • Track renewals, warranties, and maintenance agreements
  • Support vendor interactions with accurate asset and usage data
  • Partner with procurement on purchasing and contract alignment

Reporting & Insights

  • Develop and deliver reports on asset inventory, utilization, and cost trends
  • Provide insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization
  • Build dashboards that improve visibility for IT and leadership

Process Improvement & Governance

  • Execute and enhance ITAM policies, standards, and procedures
  • Identify automation opportunities and improve workflows
  • Partner with ITSM, security, and engineering teams to align processes

Requirements

Do you have experience in Microsoft Excel?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Asset Management, IT Support, or Operations
  • Understanding of IT asset lifecycle concepts
  • Experience with asset management or ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
  • Strong attention to detail and data management skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications within ITIL framework or ITAM
  • Strong knowledge with software licensing models (Microsoft, Adobe, etc.)
  • Experience supporting audits or compliance processes
  • Basic understanding of cloud asset tracking (Azure, AWS)
