Job description
Performance Contractors, Inc. is seeking an IT Asset Management Supervisor to lead the tracking, procurement, and lifecycle management of IT hardware and software assets across all of our lines of business. This role owns asset management processes, vendor relationships, procurement planning, and day-to-day supervision of interns and clerks supporting asset operations. We’re open to candidates from any inventory or asset management background - an IT background is not required. If you know how to run a tight inventory operation, track assets accurately, manage vendors, and keep a small team on task day to day, we want to talk to you., * Own end-to-end lifecycle
- management of IT assets - laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and software licenses - across all lines of business
- Supervise day-to-day work of interns and clerks supporting asset tracking and inventory tasks
- Maintain and improve asset tracking processes within our inventory system (Freshservice)
- Reconcile asset records against identity/device management systems (Microsoft Entra ID/Intune) to ensure accuracy
- Track software licenses and hardware inventory to ensure compliance and cost control
- Build and present procurement justification documentation backed by data (usage trends, request volume, refresh cycles)
- Manage vendor relationships for purchasing, warranty claims, and returns
- Conduct periodic physical and system audits of IT assets across all lines of business
- Establish and enforce asset tagging, check-in/check-out, and disposal procedures
- Support budget planning and forecasting for asset refresh and replacement cycles
- Identify and implement process improvements within inventory and asset workflows
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in inventory management, asset management, supply chain, warehouse operations, or a related field
- Experience directly overseeing day-to-day work of a small team (interns, clerks, or similar)
- Strong organizational skills with experience managing inventory across multiple physical locations
- Ability to build clear documentation and present data-driven recommendations to leadership
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with other departments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with an inventory/asset management or ITSM system (Freshservice, ServiceNow, or similar) - or willingness to learn one
- Experience in a construction, industrial, or fabrication environment
- Exposure to procurement/vendor negotiation processes
- Background in IT hardware/software (not required, but this role is IT-asset specific)
