Job description

Shrewsbury School is looking for a motivated and customer-focused IT Technician to join our busy IT Department.

Supporting staff and pupils across the school and its associated prep schools, you’ll play a key role in delivering reliable, high-quality IT services.

You will provide first and second-line technical support, including:

  • Troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues.
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining PCs, laptops and peripherals.
  • Supporting Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID environments.
  • Assisting with SharePoint, server and network administration.
  • Managing and resolving helpdesk tickets, working with third-party suppliers and supporting ongoing IT projects.

You will have proven experience in an IT support or helpdesk role, along with a Level 2 ICT qualification (or equivalent experience). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities are essential, along with excellent communication and customer service skills. The ability to work well independently and as part of a team is also essential for success in this role.
